Most Android and Windows devices manufactured after 2012 support Wi-Fi Miracast.
Windows 8.1 Devices
The Add a wireless display option will be available in the Project menu if Miracast is enabled on the device. Slide the Charms menu in from the right of the screen and select Devices, then Project. If the Add a wireless display option is not available, ensure the drivers for the Display and Wireless Network adapters on the device are up-to-date. You can obtain the latest drivers from the device manufacturer. If the drivers are up-to-date and the Add a wireless display option is not available, your device does not support Miracast.
Android Devices
Miracast technology is built into Android operating system versions 4.2 and higher. Some Android 4.2 and 4.3 devices do not support Miracast. If your Android device supports Miracast, the Screen Mirroring option will be available in the Settings app or in the pull-down/notification menu. Some Samsung devices running Android versions 4.x do not have this option and must use the AllShareCast app available on the Google Play Store.

Pleases mera device not supported
Rezwana,
Please give us a call as we do not understand your comment.
I don't think your description of the Android situation is quite correct: as I understand it, Google stopped supporting Miracast after Android 6.0 or so. Miracast will not work unless the manufacturer of the device tinkered with the stock OS to enable Miracast, which is often not the case. (I can personally verify Miracast being disabled on Motorola devices, running Android 9.0). It would be extremely valuable to know which phones and tablets still enable Miracast (I know, from personal use, a relatively new ASUS tablet--from 2017--works with Miracast.)
I just purchased an Insperon 1500 series with windows 10 i have enacfire wireless and i just need to know if my computer contains the miracast and if not, can i use them with this computer thanks
Tracie,
Most Windows 10 laptops support Miracast.
An easy way to check would be to hold down the "windows logo" key and tap the "k" key which will bring out a connect panel that allows you to select the ScreenBeam receiver if Miracast is supported. (If you already have the ScreenBeam adapter).
The other option would be to check the specifications for the laptop or contact Dell to verify Miracast support for that particular model of laptop.
I have Haier tv with miracast option and motorola phone which does have option of casting in settings but yet not able to connect with tv.
Previously I had it connected with huawe phone . Can u please help
Wajid,
You would need to check the specifications of the phone in the user manual or contact the manufacturer to verify if it supports miracast.
Dos it work on a Apple
I have alcatel A3 android cellphone but does not support secreen mirroring.
I have an hauwaei 20 pro is this supported by Miracast?
Chris,
You would need to contact the manufacturer to verify if it supports the Miracast functionality. You can also check the specifications at the Wi-Fi Alliance site by placing your device model number in the product finder.
Do you have a driver available for Linux systems yet? I have Ubuntu 18.4.4
Thank You
Eric Arvola
Eric,
Miracast is an OS-based module software. You would need to check with the Ubuntu developers to see if it has integrated Miracast support.
